Windows 8 is right around the corner, and now may or may not be a good time to purchase a new laptop. Depending on your feelings about Windows 8, you could get a new machine now with Windows 7 installed. If you are looking forward to Windows 8, and have the ability to wait, you might enjoy the financial benefit of not having to purchase an upgrade after buying your new laptop.
